Madison East Comprehensive Treatment Center provides a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program for opioids.
Madison East Comprehensive Treatment Center uses a combination of medication, counseling, and behavioral therapy to treat opioid addiction.
Medications used in the MAT include: Buprenorphine; Unlike methadone treatment, which must be performed in a highly structured clinic, buprenorphine is the first medication to treat opioid dependency that is permitted to be prescribed or dispensed in physician offices, significantly increasing treatment access.
Methadone; Methadone works by changing how the brain and nervous system respond to pain. It lessens the painful symptoms of opiate withdrawal and blocks the euphoric effects of opiate drugs such as heroin, morphine, and codeine, as well as semi-synthetic opioids like oxycodone and hydrocodone.
Naltrexone; Naltrexone blocks the euphoric and sedative effects of drugs such as heroin, morphine, and codeine. It works differently in the body than buprenorphine and methadone, which activate opioid receptors in the body that suppress cravings. Naltrexone binds and blocks opioid receptors, and is reported to reduce opioid cravings. There is no abuse and diversion potential with naltrexone.

I absolutely love this treatment center, my previous one was overcrowded insensitive impatient and very rude. There was no way that you could leave my own facility with the smile on your face, or feeling even the slightest bit positive about your treatment or yourself. That was in Huntsville Alabama but I've been going to the Madison East Comprehensive Center in Wisconsin for 3 years now everybody is polite smiles the nurses treat you with compassion and understanding so I never leave there worse off than when I went in. For this I am grateful and excited to have found a place where I feel positive about recovery. So thank you to everybody there. I would like to thank the employees at Madison East comprehensive Treatment Center for showing me that there is in fact a better way to approach the treatment of patients seeking help. By showing compassion, empathy & understanding. Without showing personal bias or contempt for those seeking treatment ultimately to better themselves, & the quality of life for the people who have been subjected to& suffered due to the ugly realities &chaos of another's addiction. I look forward to continuing my treatment there and I encourage anybody especially if you had a bad experience with another clinic somewhere like I had to please try again at least come to Madison East comprehensive and just speak to other people there before you make a decision I promise you you won't regret it.
